Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday he had had two closed-door meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris earlier in the day, mostly about Belgrade-Pristina relations.

Recapping the meetings, Vucic said they had discussed Serbia’s European integration and that Serbia would have France’s support on the EU path.

“I expect that we will open several chapters (in the EU accession talks) this year under the new methodology, through clusters,” Vucic told Pink TV.

He said France would also support Belgrade’s dialogue with Pristina.

“We mostly talked about the Belgrade-Pristina relations – it is a difficult and neuralgic issue for entire Europe, not only for Serbia,” Vucic said.
