Embassy of Australia in Serbia hosted an event to share Australia’s experience inventing and distributing the HPV vaccine and to increase awareness on this important topic in Serbia.

The event was attended by medical professionals, media representatives, government and civil society.


Attendees heard from Australian experts about the vaccine’s success and how Australia could be the first country to eradicate cervical cancer by 2025. 

Ambassador of Australia H.E. Ruth Stewart thanked the World Health Organization Country Office for Serbia and BIOPOLIS for joining efforts to raise awareness on this topic in Serbia.
