Dry eye is one of the most common problems in today’s society and it can result in the inability to produce normal tears, and sometimes temporal decrease of visual acuity, that can cause more damage to the eye.
This conclusion was made at the discussion, which was held at the hotel Envoy, organised by the company Bayer d.o.o Belgrade at which both specialists and the general public were present.
’’Different factors make our eyes dry: polluted air, wind, working at a computer, cigarette smoke or the usage of contact lenses. The dry eye appears as a problem after the disturbance of the tear film, that results in bad vision, infection or ulceration’’, points out dr Tanja Kalezic from the Clinical centre of Serbia.
