On Thursday, 12 September, within the September Gathering of NALED members and partners at the White Palace, the Executive Office has announced the Top members for 2019.

Among more than 300 committed and responsible members, the Top Member 2019 title has been assigned to one representative of businesses, local governments and civil society organizations each, who are considered to have provided the strongest contribution to organization’s development and the promotion of NALED’s common values and goals – Dejan Djokić, Director in Asseco SEE, Tihomir Petković, Mayor of Užice and Milivoje Jovanović, Vice President of ENECA Managing Board. NALED members further voted and selected Dejan Đokić as the Top Member 2019.

The company Asseco SEE has been an active member of NALED since 2010, a patron of the Grey Book of regulations and among the strongest advocates of eliminating para-fiscal charges and cutting the red tape. As a successful regional company, Asseco SEE has been a major promoter of regional cooperation and NALED’s Business Friendly Certification in South-East Europe. As the company leader, he provides special contribution to the organization’s work through membership in E-Government Alliance and the leadership of the Executive Board.

The City of Užice, led by the Mayor Tihomir Petković, is a member of three alliances within NALED – for e-Government, agriculture and urbanism. The City also takes part in the regional BFC SEE program and it is one of the five initiators of the national campaign “Art of Serbia”. The Mayor of Užice is also a member of NALED Executive Board, actively advocating local government interests with special focus on countering the shadow zone in local passenger transport.

ENECA from Niš has been a member of NALED since 2015 and one of the six NGO pioneers of public-private dialogue within NALED’s project supported by USAID, supporting the reform of lump-sum taxation. Milivoje Jovanović, Vice President of ENECA Managing Board and a member of NALED Executive Board, has invested major efforts and advocacy to help the introduction and promotion of the Start Legally measure, enabling youth and the unemployed wishing to start a business with tax exemptions during the first year of wor.
