The ceremony took place in the Production Plant of Prokuplje in the presence of the company’s representatives, employees, local institutions, business partners and media. LEONI Serbia was founded in April 2009 in Prokuplje and is currently the only European entity with four production facilities within the Wiring Systems Division (WSD).

In the last ten years, the Company has invested around EUR 111 million in buildings and equipment, delivering wiring harnesses for international premium car manufacturers. LEONI Serbia has approx. 9,000 employees and is the biggest industrial employer in Serbia. Since its inception, the Company has built an impressive network of approx. 500 domestic suppliers and, together with them, generated a total turnover of 117 million EUR, contributing to raising the living standard in the areas where we operate.

The Company acts in a responsible manner and supports a variety of projects that help the local communities to overcome their difficulties. In this respect, LEONI redirected around EUR 400,000 towards deprived children, youth, sports and cultural programs.

The employees are the most valuable resource of the Company and, consequently, they are continuously supported in their professional development. “We are very happy to celebrate the 10th anniversary of LEONI Serbia together with our partners, friends and employees. This is a very special occasion for us and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Serbian Government and local officials for their support and also our employees for their dedication and continuous involvement in our business development. LEONI has built a very solid business in Serbia and we are proud to be one of the most important employers in the country. I hope to see you all at the 20-year celebration”, stated Mr Helmut Zehnder, Executive Vice President of the Wiring Systems Division, LEONI Group, on the ceremony held today in Prokuplje.

“The last 10 years have been both a challenge and a beautiful adventure. We are so proud of our accomplishments in Serbia and in this time of celebration, we want to pay a special tribute to all our employees for their efforts and hard work. We are proud to say that we have built one big LEONI family in Serbia. In addition, together with our local business partners and suppliers, we have created thousands of jobs and contributed to raising the living standard in the areas where we operate. In our view, collaboration is the recipe for growth and success”, stated Managing Directors of LEONI Serbia, Mr Clemens Sachs and Mrs Danijela Ivković.

On this occasion, the Company held a special award ceremony for approx. 240 employees who also celebrated 10 years since joining LEONI. Around 400 people participated at the anniversary event held today at LEONI production facility in Prokuplje.
