Dell Technologies has business continuity plans in place, and its supply chain and services teams are working around the clock to help customers meet their technology needs, finding creative ways to achieve priorities while balancing life and work

Our company did not stop with innovations. We have the world’s most intelligent PCs with built-in AI that learns and adapts to the way you work, so you can be productive and concentrate on your work, says Dell Technologies’ Miloš Lončar.
We are fast approaching the anniversary of the start of the pandemic that has completely changed the way of life and ways of working for a large part of the world. To what extent and in which ways has COVID-19 impacted on Dell?
As the impact of COVID-19 spreads, our priorities remain the same: caring for the health and safety of our team members and their families; and doing everything we can to take care of the needs of our customers, partners and communities. We’ve rolled out our own work-from-home guidance and are supporting our customers’ efforts to do the same.
We are going virtual with events like CEE Dell Technologies Forum 2020 and Executive Briefing with our customers. We have our own business continuity plans in place, and our supply chain and services teams are working around the clock to help customers meet business-critical technology needs. Like you, we’re finding creative ways to achieve our priorities while balancing life and work.
How do you see working from home now? Will it be one of the trends in the years ahead and how can one prepare for that? What will be the biggest challenges?
We are witnessing increased interest in remote working solutions and the expectations are that this trend will continue in the future. This, of course, depends on industry, and different industries have their own challenges to address. At Dell Technologies we see technology as a joint key path to economic recovery and organisations will need quickly to adapt and evolve to be able not just to survive, but also to become more flexible for the new normal that we are already experiencing. There is no playbook for this, and we are seeing the incredible speed at which digital transformation is happening, with companies now trying to achieve that which previously took a few years in just a couple of months. Here we are helping our customers to do this in right way. For a long time we perceived work as a place, but now this is becoming an activity regardless of where we are. How we communicate and interact has changed and we, from the position of our end point, see this as a joint challenge, together with remote deployment and support.
What do customers expect from your company and similar companies?Do they express a need for new types of support; do some of them need new devices; is there a need to develop new notebooks, different computers etc.?
Dell Technologies implemented remote working decade ago. Before this unprecedented moment in history, we supported more than 100,000 of our employees in working remotely, so we want to offer our knowhow in implementing one’s own digital yet connected workplace. All our solutions are focused on best customer satisfaction and we design them for user needs and not for a specific task. With our unified workplace, we can deliver end to end solutions that incorporate award-winning devices, trusted security, modern management and support. We have all needed building blocks to help our customers redefine their collaboration, productivity, deployment and support. We also aren’t stopping with innovations. We have the world’s most intelligent PCs, with built-in AI that learns and adapts to the way you work, so you can be productive and concentrate on your work. Dell Optimizer is designed to improve application performance and battery run time, while it enhances your audio, ensures you have the best network connectivity and allows for faster sign-ins. It delivers a personalised performance that is as unique as our customers.
