In a bold step toward diversifying its renewable energy portfolio, Turkish firm Egesa Enerji has broken ground on two solar power plants in Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina.
Located in Aradac and Odžaci, the twin installations will collectively deliver 8.6 megawatts of clean energy—4.2 MWP and 4.4 MWP respectively—marking the company’s debut on the Serbian renewables scene.
Backed by a multinational consortium, the projects are being developed under a full EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) framework.
Electric Power Construction leads the technical execution, while Serbian firm Solarna energija budućnosti supplies key photovoltaic equipment.
Turkish partner Bey Han, with over 250 MW in completed solar assets across Turkey, brings vital EPC experience to the table.
This venture positions Egesa Enerji—already active in Turkey and the US—as a serious new player in Southeast Europe’s accelerating energy transition.
The solar duo is slated for grid connection and commercial operation in the near future, signaling Serbia’s rising role in the region’s green energy drive.
