Belgrade is set to welcome one of the world’s most prestigious luxury hotel brands, The Ritz-Carlton, following the signing of a landmark agreement between Marriott International and Danube Riverside d.o.o. Beograd.

The agreement will see the iconic Hotel Jugoslavija site transformed into a modern, world-class hotel complex. Representing Marriott International, Sandeepa Walia, Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East and Luxury EMEA, signed the deal alongside Ivan Bošnjak, Director of Millennium Team.

The momentous occasion was attended by Serbia’s Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali, and Minister of Tourism and Youth, Husein Memić, highlighting the project’s importance for Serbia’s tourism sector and broader economy.

The introduction of The Ritz-Carlton marks a turning point for Belgrade’s hospitality industry, bringing unparalleled luxury and elevating the city’s global appeal. The development promises to blend the site’s rich history with cutting-edge design and amenities, offering a unique blend of heritage and modernity.
