For the fourth time in a row Telenor network won a prestigious acknowledgement BEST IN TEST in independent measurement of the quality of mobile networks in Serbia, conducted by the international company UMLAUT. Telenor Serbia was rated the best network in Serbia with a total score of 921 dots out of maximum 1000.

The tested categories in which company Telenor is the best are the broadest coverage by mobile internet and minimum latency in data transfer. The testing was conducted during a six-month period on 50.5 thousand users and 53 million samples.

On the occasion of winning the award, company Telenor launched a new campaign with our celebrated athletes Mihail Dudaš, Strahinja Jovančević and Milana Trninić. And since our sportsmen are leaders among the fastest and best athletes, so is Telenor, as their proud partner, always on the very top. When speed and quality are combined they always produce the best results – whether in top sports or in the business world.

Ever since Telenor Serbia is operating within the PPF Group, much has been invested in network development.

“After pandemic test as how much we can provide to our customers, our development, based on the latest network technologies, has only accelerated. In 2020 alone, over 30 million Euros have been invested in network infrastructure, 800 sites were upgraded and altogether a total of 150 4G+ new locations were established. This again gave results in UMLAUT benchmarking of mobile networks, where we have improved the value compared to the last year“, says Saša Leković, CTO of Telenor Serbia.

UMLAUT, company which is awarding this prestigious acknowledgement BEST IN TEST is a technological, global, inter-industrial, ‘end-to-end’ company offering counselling and services to clients all over the globe. It compares the quality of mobile networks in more than 120 countries around the world and uses the innovative crowdsourcing methodology that shows a real user experience.

“Telenor Serbia has won the Best in Test award and we congratulate it for this exceptional achievement, won in these challenging times caused by COVID 19 virus. In Addition, Telenor is also providing the best rated broadband coverage, as well as the best rated latency. Congratulations to the whole Telenor team!” says Hakan Ekmen, CEO UMLAUT.

Telenor Serbia encourages innovations and supports the development of new digital business solutions, and will continue to work on digital efficiency so as to successfully respond to constantly growing needs for telecommunication services.
