The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) will become part of the World Trade Center Association (WTCA) by the end of 2026, joining a global network that spans 88 countries.
The WTCA representative office will be established within the CCIS building in Belgrade, offering a hub for international companies to network and engage with local businesses. Marko Čadež, President of the CCIS, made the announcement in New York, where he is attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. “Belgrade and Serbia will become key destinations for trade and investment, reinforcing our role in the Western Balkans,” said Čadež.
In addition to this landmark deal, Čadež has been holding meetings with various international delegations to bolster Serbia’s economic ties. He highlighted plans for key discussions with business leaders from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, and Greece later this year.
During his visit, Čadež also attended the “Serbia Beyond Future” reception at the UN, showcasing Serbia’s ambitions in science, innovation, and its hosting of Expo 2027.
