In the Serbian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PKS), the Business Forum “Serbia-Russia-Slovenia” was held, bringing together representatives of about 50 companies from three countries. The businesspeople discussed the possibilities of improving cooperation, a realisation of joint projects and appearances in third markets.

Miroslav Miletić, Advisor to the President of the PKS, estimates that the foreign trade of the three countries has recorded positive results. He reminded that the exchange between Serbia with Russia is just over $ 2.5 billion, that the export approximates the figure of one billion dollars, while with Slovenia the whole trade last year exceeded one billion dollars.

Vladimir Grisin, director of the representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, points out that more than 95% of goods between Serbia and Russia are exported without customs duties. It is essential, Grisin said, that businesspeople meet more often and talk about joint projects to establish stronger economic relations. Director of the Representation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia sees excellent potential in the establishment of joint enterprises.

Slovenia is a path for goods from Serbia and the Russian Federation towards the European market, said Danijela Fišakov, President of the Slovenian Business Club (SPK). She pointed out that in the past five years the number of Serbian and Russian companies in Slovenia has increased.

That there are more Serbian products in Slovenia, confirmed Nataša Govedarica, secretary of the Association of Forestry PKS, with the assessment that Serbian furniture has experienced a real boom in the Slovenian market. Particularly pointed out the area of laminated furniture.

Natalya Bagrova, Director of the Yaroslavl Region Export Center, presented the Russian region and its economic potential at the Forum. ĐorđeAndrić, the head of the Investment Support Center of the PKS, held a presentation on investment potential and investment opportunities in Serbia, and Jurij Agapov from the Serbian Trade Representative Office pointed to the excellent cooperation between the three countries and the importance of joint projects, especially in ICT and science.

Following the plenary part of the forum, bilateral talks were held between the businesspeople of Serbia, Russia and Slovenia.

The PKS organised the Forum with the support of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Serbia, the Representatives of the Trade Industrial Chamber of the Russian Federation in Serbia and Montenegro, the Slovenian Business Club in Serbia and the Knowledge Association.
