The first runway, 12L-30R, at Nikola Tesla Airport has been r`econstructed and reopened for traffic after 17 months of intensive work, according to Serbia’s Civil Aviation Directorate.
The new 3,000-meter-long runway is equipped with advanced technical systems, including a Category III B instrument landing system, enabling takeoffs and landings in the most challenging weather conditions.
The reopening of the reconstructed runway further solidifies Nikola Tesla Airport’s position as a regional leader in civil aviation. It enhances conditions for increased air traffic, expands passenger transport capacity, and strengthens Serbia’s connectivity with the rest of the world, the statement said.
