Procter & Gamble, manufacturer of everyday Consumer goods such as Ariel, Fairy, and Always among others, announced donations totalling over 5.5 million RSD to Red Cross Serbia in financial support, personal health and hygiene and household products.

The donation will support initiatives aiming to help mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Country.

The company will support local communities by providing funds to purchase food packs for the ones in need. In parallel, it will donate everyday essential P&G product for those who have been most impacted by the Pandemic.

‘We are facing today challenging times impacting far more than businesses, but our neighbours, our communities – every facet of our lives. Together, P&G and its NGO partner are stepping up as a force for good in service to our communities. Caring for those that need our care the most is our priority’, stated Antoine Brun, Vice President P&G South-East Europe.

„In such a complicated and hard times, there are socially responsible companies who understand that solidarity and humanity is the basis of the existence of each individual and the society as a whole. We want to thank Procter & Gamble for once again helping socially most impacted families by the COVID pandemic. Goodness demonstrated today gives us hope that obstacles can be overcome if we are solitary and united in humanity. Volunteers and employees of Red Cross Serbia show it every day helping citizens, while socially responsible companies help us deal with everyday challenges”, said the Red Cross Serbia president, prof. dr Dragan Radovanović.

These local efforts complement P&G global and European actions already underway. Since the onset of the outbreak, P&G has been working with long-standing partner organizations to understand how to best support communities, relief agencies and those impacted by this global emergency. On March 27, 2020, Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) announced donations totalling $15 million USD in everyday household products, health care services and sanitizers for frontline workers and impacted families. As part of this effort, P&G Europe announced the donation of $1 million to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ to provide health care, medical supplies and hygiene education to vulnerable people across Europe.

We cannot predict how and when this crisis will end but we’re committed to being part of the solution. We have mobilized the full capabilities of P&G and our partners to help in this time of need, and we will be there for our employees, consumers and communities — stepping up to be a force for good – however long it takes.
