On 1st June, Mlekoprodukt hosted a Family Day for its employees, organising a large event for employees and their families on the company grounds. This occasion also marked the 77th anniversary of the company, with a significant part of the event being the performance of “Masks” by the amateur theatre troupe from the Residential Home for Persons with Developmental Disabilities “Kulina”.
During the Family Day at Mlekoprodukt, a creative programme was held for employees and their children, featuring numerous sports, artistic, and other activities. The event provided another opportunity for Mlekoprodukt to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility and the values of inclusion. The fact that 1st June is also World Milk Day and International Children’s Day added further symbolic significance to the event.
At the end of the programme, the amateur actors, residents of the Residential Home for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, performed a play created using a unique model. The play was written with the intention of the therapists – the piece’s authors – to boost the participants’ self-confidence and personal security, as well as their level of activity and awareness of their personal worth, both during the preparations and on stage. The performance also aimed to empower the audience to embrace fundamental life values.
This performance at Mlekoprodukt is just one of many held across Serbia. The troupe’s goal is to perform the play in numerous cities, reaching as many people as possible, motivating both the performers and the audience.
