German industrial weighing and labeling machines manufacturer Bizerba held stone laying ceremony for its factory in Serbia’s western city of Valjevo. The investment is worth €33 million and will provide around 300 new jobs.

The construction works will be completed and the production plant will become operational in the final quarter of 2022, said Bizerba CEO Andreas Kraut said at the ground-breaking ceremony.

“The 11.000 square meters production facility will initially employ around 300 workers”, Kraut added.

The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić witnessed the ceremony and underlined how glad he is the investment of this kind is to be implemented in Valjevo. President mentioned that this project would bring perspective to the whole region.

The company Bizerba, a worldwide leading specialist in industrial weighing and labelling technologies, employs 4.300 people and operates in 120 countries. Its worth is estimated at 33 million euros.
