Serbian company Luss Textile is holding talks to become a supplier to German fashion group Philipp Plein, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce said.

“At the end of the week, we will have the first working meeting on the possibilities to start production of clothing for Philipp Plein”, the director of Luss Textile, Sava Mitrovic, said on Monday, as quoted in a statement by Serbia’s Chamber of Commerce.

Luss Textile aims to increase by 200 its workforce at its factory in Draganici, in southwestern Serbia, Mitrovic also said following a meeting with designer Philipp Plein.

“Luss Textile has many interesting opportunities to become a supplier for our brand. We produce about a million pieces of clothing a year. We work mainly in Europe and Asia but for us, Europe is becoming more and more important due to the proximity of our central warehouse. The possibilities of this factory are great,” Plein was quoted as saying.

The Serbian company launched its Draganici factory in January 2019 and is cooperating with the Replay brand. Luss Textile sells about 90% of its products in Europe and has 300 employees.
