The conference “ESG, a Way of Life and Doing Business,” held today at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the significant potential of implementing ESG standards for enhanced competitiveness.

Over 150 professionals gathered to discuss the collaborative efforts required for effective ESG strategies. Katarina Ocokoljić, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Association, emphasized the importance of innovative solutions to the challenges faced by businesses, while Romano Rossi, Vice President of Confindustria Serbia, noted that companies embracing sustainable practices would not only gain a competitive edge but also secure stronger financial backing.

Italian Ambassador Luca Gori praised Italy’s leadership in ESG compliance, revealing that 59% of Italian companies have internal committees guiding their investment choices based on sustainability. The conference aimed to provide insights into sustainability, focusing on regulatory requirements and the practical application of ESG principles for improving long-term business success.

The event was organized by Confindustria Serbia, in partnership with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and supported by EIT Manufacturing, Generali Serbia, and UniCredit Bank.
