DM Celebrates 20 Years of Business in Serbia

On the occasion of its significant anniversary, two decades of successful operations in Serbia, dm drogerie markt organised a unique event that brought together over 1,000 guests from Serbia, Austria, and the region. Under the motto “20 years together for each other”, the drugstore chain marked a period of successful business results, inspiration, and unity, setting a stable foundation for future endeavours.

The company’s distinctive campaigns, active social responsibility efforts, and business successes stem from carefully listening to the market, timely adapting to changes, endless motivation, and the trust of loyal customers for whom dm represents much more than a favourite brand. As an indispensable shopping and relaxation destination, the dm drugstore chain consistently applies its distinctive philosophy of ‘People at the Centre of Business’, which has remained unchanged since the first dm drugstore opened in Europe in the 1970s. The dm Serbia management highlighted that this people-focused approach will continue to be the leading imperative in the future.

“We are immensely proud that over these incredible 20 years we have gained and justified the trust of millions of customers across Serbia and that our drugstores have become synonymous with quality, diversity, and affordability. All of us at dm are especially grateful to our employees, collaborators, and customers for their support and love for the brand that we have built together over decades and now crowned with this memorable event,” the dm drogerie markt management team stated.

The event kicked off with an exciting recount of the 20 years marked by significant successes and notable projects by dm. Each year, the company also achieves record results; during 2022/2023, it generated a turnover of 29.3 billion dinars, recorded over 50 million dinars in community donations, and provided employees with the standard 14 salaries plus an additional anniversary bonus. Among the highlighted projects are the well-known “Plant a Tree” campaign carried out in collaboration with WMG and institutional partners, initiatives such as the ALWAYS AFFORDABLE pricing concept, and the launch of the online shop, the My dm app, and new benefits within it.

Guests enjoyed a variety of gourmet bites, created creative photos at the photo corner, and the atmosphere was further enhanced by performances from the dance group Una Saga Serbica and the talented singer Igor Simić, with the celebration lasting into the evening hours, as befits such a milestone occasion.
