The contract agreement for the implementation of Lot 1 of the first phase of Belgrade Metro Line One, which includes project design and construction work, as well as preparatory activities for the procurement of tunnel boring machines, has been signed by the Ministry of Construction, Transport, representatives of JKP “Beogradski metro i voz,” the Secretariat for Public Transport of the City of Belgrade, and the Chinese company “Power Construction Corporation of China.”

The contract was signed at the Serbian Government by Radovan Kremić, on behalf of the Secretariat for Public Transport, Andreja Mladenović, director of JKP “Beogradski metro i voz,” and Yang Bom, representing the Chinese company.

The contract is valued at 2.4 billion dinars.

“We are currently building the first two lines, and a tender for the design of the third line has recently been announced. The first line, between Železnik and Mirijevo, will take 32 minutes of travel time. This line will feature 41 three-car trains and a total of 21 stations. Between Mirijevo and Bežanija, the travel time will be 39 minutes with 40 trains and 24 stations, and between Bežanija and Banjica on the third line, the journey will take 38 minutes with 27 three-car trains,” said Minister Goran Vesić.
