Meeting of European diplomats and leaders of bilateral business organizations within CEBAC.

An exclusive working breakfast of the Council of European Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce in Serbia (CEBAC) was held in the prestigious hotel The Bristol, which brought together prominent diplomats and representatives of the European business community.

Among the participants were nine ambassadors and representatives of economic departments of embassies, as well as general directors and members of management boards of European business organizations operating in Serbia. The event was an opportunity to exchange opinions on the current and future activities of CEBAC, as well as to strengthen cooperation between European and Serbian business actors.

The host of the event, Sanja Ivanić, Secretary General of CEBAC, opened the meeting by presenting the Council’s past results and key initiatives. On that occasion, she also announced the upcoming CEBAC Summit entitled: Europe-Serbia Business Bridge: Innovating Sustainability, Technology & Talent, which will be held on 27 May in Belgrade, and which will bring together more than 200 representatives of companies and institutions from Serbia and Europe. As she pointed out, the Summit will be an important platform for business networking and the exchange of practical experiences.

H.E. also addressed the gathering. Emanuele Giaufret, head of the delegation and ambassador of the European Union in Serbia, who in his speech praised CEBAC’s work so far and confirmed the continued support of the EU Delegation in the further development of European-Serbian business cooperation. Ambassador Giaufret particularly emphasised the importance of the role of bilateral business organisations gathered within the framework of CEBAC and encouraged them to continue their active action in order to improve the business climate in Serbia.
