Your healthcare system has 400 permanent staff and nearly 400 consultants, eminent experts of all specialties. Is it a privilege to be part of the great Bel Medic family?
– When you work in the company of good people who are top experts in their field, it’s definitely a privilege and the honour to be a part of such team. We are trying to hire experts in all areas that support the whole system because the system cannot function perfectly without excellent people in finance, marketing, quality control, sales, human resources and other related operations.
Of course, a special emphasis is given to medical personnel, we try to employ the best doctors in Serbia, to motivate them and provide good working conditions and an environment in which they will be most satisfied, so they will give the best possible results so we can cooperate on a long-term bases. This certainly applies to the middle layer of medical staff, we have top nurses and orderlies, anaesthetists, radiologic technicians…
Twenty four years ago, the founders of Bel Medica wanted to create an institution better than its individuals. Does this mean that the selection of a candidate for each workplace is approached with extreme care?
– Developing Bel Medic, dr Knežević concluded that the system cannot rely on the conscience and responsibility of the individual. That is why it is very important to set clear rules and procedures at every level and it is necessary to form a good team of people who will respect and implement the defined procedures in their daily work. The HR department has eight members who are, among other things, engaged in recruiting and selecting top experts in their fields. Each candidate has several rounds of conversation, often certain tests too, in order to increase the chance of employing a person who will be an important member of Bel Medic and will create additional value for Bel Medic with their work, regardless of the workplace they are assigned.
