Vladimir Vava has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer of Carlsberg Serbia Group, which encompasses operations in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Vladimir took over his new function on 1st February this year, after spending three years in the position of Vice President of Sales at Baltika Breweries, a Russian company that is also owned by the Carlsberg Group. Prior to deciding to continue his career within the Carlsberg Group, Vava held the position of vice president of sales and operations at company Makro Cash & Carry, part of the Metro Group retail chain, in Spain and Portugal.
This posting is not the new CEOs first contact with the Serbian market, with him having started his business career working in marketing and sales at Belgrade-based CB Holding. He continued building his career at company Metro Cash & Carry Romania, after which he took on a leading position in the same company’s sales department in Russia. Vladimir has gained vast knowledge and skills over the course of more than ten years working in different leading positions in sales sectors across Europe.
Born 1968 in Romania, Vladimir graduated in Hydromechanics at the University of Timisoara, before advancing his education with an MBA from the UK’s University of Sheffield. He is a married father of two children.
