H.E. Raúl Bartolomé Molina was born in Bilbao (Basque country, Spain) on 21st November 1966 and has a university degree in Law and is a Master of Private Law, Maître en Droit Privé.
He began his diplomatic career in 1991, serving as Consul of Spain, Counsellor in Paris, and Deputy Head of Mission in Rome and Oslo.
He has held various responsible positions within the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation of Spain.
From 24th December 2016 until his appointment as Ambassador of Spain to Serbia and to Montenegro resident in Belgrade, has served as Chief of Staff of the State Secretary of Spain for European Affairs.
He has been awarded the following Spanish medals: Oficial de la Orden del Mérito Civil, Comendador de la Orden del Mérito Civil and Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica, as well as the medal of the Official of the Order of the British Empire.
