Mr Radko Vlaykov graduated from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia with a Master’s Degree in International Relations.
A career diplomat at the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) since 1991, Ambassador Vlaykov held the post of official Spokesman of the MFA consistently during the tenure of five governments.
Over the course of seven years, he was also Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry. Between 1991 and 1994 he was Head of the Political Section of the Bulgarian Embassy in Prague and prior to his appointment in Belgrade Vlaykov served as Special Coordinator for Public Diplomacy Affairs at the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He speaks English, German, Czech, Slovak and Russian. He is a married father of two sons and one daughter.
