In 1989 Kasim Asker Hasan received his Ph.D. from the University of Aachen, Germany, where he served as an assistant scientist.His professional posts in Germany include project engineer for Krupp-Polysius, network expert for STS Data systems, CAD and IT management consultant for Systaix and general director of Tam Tools.
Ambassador Kasim Asker Hasan started his diplomatic career in 2009 as an Ambassador at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by the post of Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Hungary (2010-2013) and Head of Communications and Information Technology & Economic Department/MOFA Iraq (2013-2014).
From 2014 to 2015 he served as Head of the Africa Department at the Iraqi MOFA.
He speaks English, German, Turkish and BCS, and is a married father of four children.
