H.E. Hossein Molla Abdollahi graduated from the University of Teheran with an MA in International Relations.
He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in 1985 and in 1988 he was apppointed Political Expert at the Embassy in Islamabad, then Director of the Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization of the MFA (ECO) in 1993-1995.
In 1995 he was appointed Political Counsellor at the Embassy in Cyprus and from 1996 – Deputy Consul General in Peshawar, then Consul General in Lahore.
During 2000 and 2001 he was Deputy Director of the West Asia Department of the MFA and from 2001 Director of ECO. In 2013. Mr. Abdollahi was appointed Ambassador to Vietnam also accredited in Cambodia, and from 2003 to 2010 he was Advisor to the Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa and the Arab countries.
In 2010 he was appointed Ambassador to Nigeria and from 2011 Advisor to the Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa and the Arab countries, then Director General of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2013-2014).
Before his appointment to Serbia he served as Director General for Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Abdollahi is married with five children and speaks English and Arabic.
