Gianluca Borrelli is appointed as the new President of the Executive Board of Crédit Agricole Srbija.

Mr. Borrelli comes from a challenging Italian market where he has gained 25 years of professional experience, by holding important positions in different business areas. He was born in 1972 in Milan and after obtaining a Master’s degree in economic sciences, he built his career in Banca Intesa and Cariparma, which in 2007 became a part of Crédit Agricole Group. Before his engagement in Serbia, he was the General Manager of Crédit Agricole Leasing and Eurofactor Italia and Crédit Agricole Carispezia.

“I’m glad and proud of this assignment, however, in this situation, my focus is on what we can do to improve support to our clients, colleagues and the society, while also giving strong support to the initiatives already introduced by the National Bank Serbia and the Government.

As a member of Crédit Agricole Group, one of the strongest financial institutions in the world, we can do what is necessary for the sustainability of the real economy and the security of our customers’ savings.

We have doubled our efforts in the process of listening to the needs and daily accompaniment of our clients in the digital banking services, and have launched several initiatives such as free-of-charge overdraft for the medical personnel engaged on the front line, whom I would like to take this opportunity to thank personally.

Crédit Agricole Serbia wants to stay close to its clients in these challenging times and to accompany the revival of economic growth, and I’m very confident in the fast recovery and a well-deserved positive future of the Serbian country,” said Mr. Borrelli.

As the new President of the Executive Board, Mr. Borrelli will be responsible for the business operations of Crédit Agricole Bank in Serbia, which has 74 branches and employs over 900 people, serving almost 300,000 clients.
