The City of Šabac has been certified as a favourable business environment, which means that this local government ranks among the best investment destinations in Southeast Europe.

The certificate acknowledging the improvement in the work of the Šabac local administration was presented at the 4th regional BFC SEE Congress in Podgorica, organised by the Montenegrin Ministry of Finance and NALED, with the support of the GIZ Open Regional Fund for the Modernisation of Municipal Services.

Certificates were presented to another 14 local governments, four each from the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Macedonia, and two from Croatia.

A total of 26 local governments were certified according to the BFC SEE standard as providing quality services and a favourable business environment for around two million people and 105,000 businesses.

In Serbia, this confirmation of quality has to date been received by Leskovac, Pančevo, Pirot, Ruma and Stara Pazova.
