US ambassador Kyle Scott thanked Serbia for accepting the two freed men, Tajik national Muhammadi Davlatov and Yemeni national Mansur Ahamd Saad al-Dayfi.
“This is a big human gesture. Now it is important to ensure they get integrated into Serbian society,” U.S. Ambassador Kyle Scott told Tanjug news agency. Guantanamo detainees arrived in Serbia on Monday, July 11th during a visit by US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland. Their exact location is unknown.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić stated that Serbia aims to be a good partner to the US. “We are partners in many peace operations throughout the world and Serbia will keep acting in such a manner,” said Vučić.
