Para-Fiscal Obligation

Established in March 2014, the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SSCC) was created as a result of the Swiss business community’s growing interest in Serbia, in order to strengthen economic relations between Serbia and Switzerland, in the form of establishing an organisation that would work to improve the dialogue between the two countries

This year marks the 3rd annual SSCC Business Climate Survey, which was conducted among the members of the Swiss-Serbian business community between February and April 2017. The objective of the survey was to obtain insight into the way Swiss companies in Serbia perceive the local business environment and to learn more about their perceptions of continuing reforms and the existing opportunities and challenges on the Serbian market.

With regard to mandatory membership in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which was introduced as of 1st January 2017, survey participants perceived this legal obligation as an additional para-fiscal charge

The SSCC Board recognises the important role that the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Serbia plays in promoting Serbia as an investment destination abroad, as well as in assisting Serbian companies targeting the development of export or their business operations on foreign markets.

The joint efforts of the CCIS, the SSCC and other stakeholders will contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the Serbian market for foreign direct investments.
