Algerian Ambassador H.E. Abdelhamid Chebchoub and representatives of Algeria in Serbia celebrated the 62nd anniversary of the start of the War of Independence that led to the country’s liberation from colonial rule.
To mark this occasion, Ambassador Chebchoub hosted a reception at Belgrade’s Crowne Plaza hotel.
Algeria celebrates Revolution Day to commemorate 1st November 1954, when the Algerian people began its multi-year struggle for independence from France, which it gained eight years later.
The reception was attended by numerous representatives of political, religious and public life in Serbia, as well as members of the diplomatic corps.
