This year’s winner of the prestigious NIN Award for literature is Ivana Dimić for the novel “Arzamas”, published by Laguna.

This novel deals, in an emotional and intimate way, with the relationship between a mother and daughter. The award was presented, in the presence of a large number of literature fans, by NIN editor in chief Milan Ćulibrk.

The decision on the winner of the 63rd NIN Award was entrusted to a jury comprising Jasmina Vrbavac, Tamara Krstić, Zoran Paunović, Mihajlo Pantić and Božo Koprivica. The finalists for this year’s novel of the year included four writers – Vladan Matijević, for his novel “Meeting under unusual circumstances”, Ivana Dimić for “Arzamas”, Vladimir Tabašević for “So as”, and Vladislav Bajac for his work “The Chronicle of Doubts”.

The ceremony at the Yugoslav Film Archives Cinematheque was attended by numerous guests from cultural and public life, as well as previous winners of this prestigious literary award.
