The German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (DSW), the Hemofarm Foundation and the Serbian Ministry of Health organised a meeting for the supporters of the “Most Important Call in Life” campaign.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation and adoption of the new Law on Organ Transplantation.

Over a hundred DSW members signed organ donor cards, thus giving a personal example of humanity, as well as their support to the Foundation’s efforts.

It was noted at the meeting that one donor can save several lives and that there are over 1,000 people in Serbia are awaiting an organ transplant.

“I have had a donor card for 15 years and I consider this a normal, human act” – said actor and director Dragan Bjelogrlić.

Corporate Communications Director at Hemofarm, Sanda Savić, appealed to the public to spread the idea of organ donation in order to eliminate the prejudice in Serbia that comes from ignorance. She also pointed out that, despite the ignorance, Hemofarm’s “Most Important Call in Life” campaign has been quite successful.
