Copenhagen’s Vokalkompagniet choir has performed in Belgrade for the first time to commemorate the centenary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Serbia.
In the over 20 years that it has been performing, “Vokalkompagniet” has relayed the beauty of Nordic songs, pop classics and swing jazz, as well as emotional “a capella” pop compositions.
Their repertoire also includes trip-hop music, and the Belgrade audience will have the opportunity to hear the harmonising of modern and old compositions, under the conductor’s baton of Simone Maja.
The same day also saw a performance of the “Beograd” City Choir, a mixed vocal group that has a repertoire which includes works by Mokranjac, Mozart, Beethoven, Miller and Savić, as well as traditional music, gospel, jazz and pop.
