Ambassador of Finland to Serbia H.E. Pertti Ikonen hosted a “Thank You Reception” at the Finnish ambassadorial residence in order to express gratitude for all those who helped the Embassy in its commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Finnish independence throughout 2017.
Ambassador Ikonen noted that Finland marked this special anniversary worldwide, and in Serbia, the Embassy organised an event each month in honour of the anniversary.
As many as 18 companies supported the Embassy of Finland in Serbia in the organisation of these events, each of which the ambassador thanked.
The reception’s special guest was Macedonian businessman Svetozar Janevski, who was decorated by the President of Finland with the Order of the Finnish Lion, which was presented to him by Ambassador Ikonen.
